ITFS 2023

In 2023, the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film celebratesits 30th anniversary and, following this year‘s motto “Animationconnects!”, invites the animation family and fans of animation from allover the world to join in the celebrations. In addition to the short andfeature length film highlights of the various competition programmesthe ITFS 2023 offers inspiring and diverse side programmes such as InPersona showcases and a Tribute to Gil Alkabetz. As a special highlight,the ITFS will focus on South Africa and its dynamic, innovative andambitious animation scene. Exclusive programmes for professionalson the subject of animation and its interfaces, including workshop andfilm talks, master classes, lectures, work-in-progress sessions, schoolpresentations, presentations by renowned and young talent studiosround off the programme.

FMX 2023

FMX – Film & Media Exchange hosts another hybrid edition. The top-class programme will be presented on site from 25 to 27 April 2023 at the Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart. On 28 April FMX will offeran exclusive online day with numerous presentations from aroundthe globe. The FMX theme EVOLVING focuses on sustainability and the environment, with renowned BAFTA-winning and Oscar-nominated animation producer Jinko Gotoh, serving as this year’s Programme Chair.Following FMX, ticket holders will have access to presentation recordings via video on demand until the end of May 2023.
