APD is an event for animation industry professionals. The following people can register:

  • Producers with a fresh and innovative animation project for which they are looking for co-production partners and investors
  • Production companies and studios looking for projects in which they can participate
  • Representatives of broadcasters, SVoD platforms, distributors, publishers and investors looking for innovative animation projects
  • Funding institutions for film, television and digital media
  • Young talents who wish to apply for the APD Talent Programme


The following type of projects can be submitted:

  • TV series, TV specials, feature films, games, mobile content, cross- and transmedia animation projects
  • short film projects, if they can be further developed into other formats
  • Hybrid formats (mixing animation and live action)
  • At concept and development stage
  • Suitable and open for international coproduction
  • Open to coproducers
  • With potential for brand development and international distribution

In general (and except for the talent programme), producers should have a record of having successfully produced a number of animation projects already. Only one project per company can be submitted. The APD jury selects up to 50 projects each year for participation in APD.

31 January - Deadline Early Bird

Those who submit a project or register by this date will receive a discounted accreditation rate

21 February - Deadline Project Submission and Producer Registration

7 March - Information on project selection

No later than this date, we will inform all producers who have submitted a project whether the project has been selected for presentation at APD

11 March - End of the registration period for the Investor Programme
